Architects are mainly concerned with individual buildings rather than with the effect these buildings have on our cities as a whole. I do agree with this statement. For example , the Hong Kong Bank in central district are designed like a machine toy-model with a high-tech metal to make it. It reflects the high technology combined with the modern life in Hong Kong.
In addition, the building of Bank of China was designed by famous architect which is based on the triangle figures. It gave aesthetic perception of elegance , pleasing geometric forms and post-modern construction.

In the past, buildings often reflected the culture of a society but today all modern buildings look alike and cities throughout the world are becoming more and more similar. I think there are 3 main reasons to cause this phenomenon : firstly , it is more convenient and easy to build the same type of building ; secondly , it can be more effective to build ; thirdly , it can need less money to build .
